Days and Nights in Dublin

View from Ha'penny Bridge

...and again...

...and the other side...

Lovely girls in a lovely city

Grafton Street... I think...

A protest march?

Outside Isaac's Hostel where we stayed for
four nights... the bad things about this place
were 1. the grumpy old lady we had to share
our room with, 2. the fact that there was only
one lamp in the entire room and when we got
home late at night we had to disturb the others
who were asleep, 3. There was no bathroom
in the room... which resulted in me being locked
out of our room in the middle of the night, not
daring to knock on the door because of the
grumpy old lady... I slept three or four
hours in the shower... in only a t-shirt...
haha...

Isaacs...

Time for yet another beer... This
evening we went to Arlington Hotel to
enjoy a riverdance show... but no matter
how long we waited, there was no show.
But we found something else to watch...
The cute bartenders...

A-K and I

Starting to get one of her laugh attacks?

Triplets?

Smiiile!

...

I lööövs it!

Guinness of course...

We got along great! =)

One of the cute bartenders shouting something?

Naaaaw! =)

Hihi...

At Gogarty's...

A-K covered me up because of a nasty old man
who practically undressed me with his eyes..
He was really disgusting and made me feel
awful. You can see him behind my back...

Gavin is playing

...and we're happy

A really good musician! =)

...

Yep...

Sad because it's our last day...

Dublin Airport has had a face lift...

DON'T take us home... I want to stay!

Bye for now... See ya again soon!

I can't help but...

...miss you now and then... even if I now I shouldn't. If you ever read this, you'll also get to know that I was quite disappointed and hurt with the way you acted the last time we had the chance to meet. You chickened out and didn't act like the honest and openminded man I thought you were. There and then I decided that enough is enough and that I would make no further contact, and I haven't... feel that maybe it's your turn and not mine.

Came to think about you again today... which I do quite often. Today the memories of you came alive thanks to our song... you know which one. If you don't then maybe we didn't have that special something that I thought we did. I sat there in the car together with Jenny, on our way home from work, and the song was playing on the stereo... I listened and let all the memories and emotions overflow me. Maybe I'll see again, maybe not. All I know is that it's up to you... I will always return to Dublin, but might not ever see you again...

My Kingdom For A...

...pint of Guinness at Gogarty's in Dublin right now... I'd love to listen to the live irish folk music while enjoying the black gold and chatting with people... Give it to me! NOW!

Norwegians in Dublin...

(Dublin, March 2008)

Our second night in Dublin also offered the company of a dozens of Norwegians... haha... where did they all come from? Norway apparently... haha... We probably met more Norwegians than Irish people on this trip.

Let's get the party started...

Self-portrait

....don't really know what's going on here...

...but obviously both I and Stian felt the urge
to stick our tongues out at Sven Arne ;-)

Some changes had been made since the last time
I visited Gogarty's. They had installed a couple of
big screens so that everyone in the pub could
take part of the entertainment the musicians
offered.

Sven Arne borrowed my camera for a while...
Don't know these people. But the man to the
left was Irish but could speak Swedish too.

Sven Arne and a friend of his(?)

...another friend of Sven Arne?
A lot of Norwegians that night...

Focus lay on serious discussions concerning
global environmental issues...

...such as the problems that
comes with overpopulation...
