Sorry Girls...

...been trying to update our Dublin trip, but I've slept like a baby instead and had the craziest dreams... Hmm, wonder what they're trying to tell me!? ;-) Anyhow, have to do the dishes now and then I really need to pack, because tomorrow I'm going back to Värmland.

Quotes from Dublin:

To one of the guards outside Gogarty's:
"I need to shave my leg!!!"

"Sandra Bulling is leaving the building"

"A: Excuse me, do you you have any spare change?"
"B: No, thanks!!"

"I'm your forbidden fruit!"

"You naughty, naughty woman/man!"

Said to the reserved and stiff old man behind the counter at Jacob's inn: "We're the annoying Swedish girls who couldn't pay properly on our arrival! Remember?"

Och ett från Västerås:

Medan servitrisen står bakom ryggen och hör allt.
A: "Det här var INTE värt pengarna!!"
Servitris: Smakade det bra?
A: Jaaa (med tveksam röst)

There's more, right!? Fill me in ladies! I can't remember everything! Haha...

Wallmar - The Mummy(Pirate?)

Wallmar is a crazy cat, a mad cat. You never know what he's up to... He also loves toilet rolls, he bites them, scratches them and kills them. This particular morning he got some help from us dressing up like a mummy/pirate. Isn't he cute?

Where aaaam I?

Johanna's 13th Birthday!

Johanna, my sweet little niece, turned 13 years old the 17th of July. I can't believe it, it was only yesterday she was two years old and told me that "bananen är lortig". I wish her all the best and that she will have a wonderful life. She deserves it! You're always in my heart Johanna, always! Even though you think I'm an annoying aunt sometimes... haha...

This is how happy one can be on a birthday!

Trying to look surprised since she already knew
that she would get that particular rucksack.

Carola also got some things even though it wasn't
her birthday. Black slippers and a dress.

My brother Joakim... just as difficult to
photograph as my father.

Mmmmmm....

...Vin....

...Diesel....

Carola, my other sweet niece

Sutida, their stepmother

Carola, Marica and Johanna

Time for the yearly grimace competition...
Johanna is the first contestant!

Marica is the second one...
We decided it was a draw this year...

A close up on Carola

My lovely nieces and I

.....

Time for some "bus"! Haha...

Having a bit of a laugh...

Carola again...

Johanna and I are joking around

...she always laughs... and that's good!

Let's poke a little... ;-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHANNA!
I HOPE YOU HAD A NICE ONE!

Hearty Sisters and Family Dinner at Liao's Dynasty

Marica and I have felt kind of stranded in Bada this summer and that's why we made sure we had some means of transport. Bicycles... ;-) So when our withdrawal symptoms from not having a proper Internet connection grew too strong we head on our bikes to Torsby. A 13 kilometer trip...

Marica was a good girl and wore a helmet...
I didn't... 'cause I had none

The Church in Torsby where I was baptised

Ljungan

The Old Bersängsbacken could kill anyone!

After spending an hour or so at the library we met up with mum, dad, Johanna and Sutida at Liao's Dynasty, the local chinese restaurant. It's not very often that we eat out so it was quite nice.

Sutida, my brother's fiance. They are getting married
the 18th of August. :-D I love weddings!

I'm not a big person, but next to
Sutida I look like a giant. The Swedish Giant!
Haha...

Johanna seemed to be in a very good mood 'cause
she was laughing all the time...

Kind of cold even though it was in the middle
of July. As I've said before, one of the crappiest
summers in a long time.

...still having a laugh...

Marica

Our mum looks kind of angry, but she's not...

A nice cup of coffee to end our visit at Liao's Dynasty

Our dad was also with us, but I never manage to take his picture...he dodges every shot! ;-)

Gizmo - The Dog Dogged By Bad Luck!

There are a lot of things Gizmo doesn't enjoy and those things are e.g. ticks, the-removing-of-ticks, talking-about-ticks, threats-about-showers, showers and well... getting-wet-from-showers. Therefore he does whatever he can to avoid these things. This summer though he's been unlucky. The ticks seem to love him and eventually I had to bring him in to the shower to make him tractable so the ticks could be removed. (Mum is the one who removes them - I just can't do it, they're way too disgusting). It was like killing two birds with one stone - because now we had a clean dog, a good-smelling dog as well. ;-)

HOWEVER... Some days later we could all feel the smell of cat urine - not that strange since the house is controlled by five cats this summer. We cleaned the house but somehow the smell was still there... Very odd, we thought... We couldn't find the source...UNTIL, we were going for a walk with Gizmo. When I was about to put the leash on him I had to back off - HE was the SOURCE! He reeked with cat pee. The poor thing had been peed on. So guess what! Yep, we threw him in the shower again. He wasn't all too happy... Hahaha...

The Three Blonds and Wallmar

My brave little sister Marica decided to make radical change to her hair this summer... she went from a brunette(?) to blond in just two hours at a hair saloon in Torsby. And guess what, she looks really great as a blond as well. :-) I wonder how I would look with blond hair?!

When she turned into a blond she also started looking
like our niece Johanna. Sometimes we mistook
them for each other.

They're trying to cut their fringes but I'm
hunting them down with my camera.

Good girls...

"Want your fringe cut Diana?"

Carola, Johanna's sister is also blond. LOOK,
all of a sudden the Wall family has triplets! :-)

Wallmar isn't a blond though -
he's a Cornish Rex and tonkanes.
...and here he sleeps on the living room
table all wrapped up in a blanket. ;-)

Doing Some Gardening in Bada

This has been a crappy summer, at least when talking about the weather. The sun apparently packed its bags and went to Marbella or something. ;-) One day in the beginning of July when it didn't rain we finally found the strength to take care of the garden...well, a small part of it anyway. Mum, Marica and I grabbed a shovel each a prepared ourselves for some heavy digging. (I got a little inspired after my visit to Dublin again so I'll try to write more in English again)

Ah... it's tough working in the basking sun,
while dodging for all the horse-flies which
wanted to make a dinner out of us. So,
I took a break a took some photos instead.

Marica still going strong...

We could make use of a good gardener,
like Åsa's or Anthony's father ;-)

The back yard... hmm... where the
h*** did that fir tree come from?

A lily of some sort...

Malva

Hugo, Gizmo and Lucifer

Doing the laundry? Ha...

Gizmo - mention the word tick in his presence
and he'll run as fast as he can away from you.

Mother is taking a break in very comfy(??) chair?

Wallmar is checking if mum is doing her best...

Dahlia

My bike... ;-)

A fly on a...?

Some flowers and some weed...

The road to Torsby...

Gizmo thought he heard the word... TICK!

Time to plant some flowers...

Eventually they'll bloom...

Lucifer is making sure his territory hasn't been
changed too much.

Planting some other flowers mum got from Pernilla

...and Idun is doing her share of the work...
